Join me on the Typhoon for a proper day’s sea fishing from the harbour here in Looe, Cornwall. I’ve been fishing these waters for more than forty years, and I’ll do my best to give you a good day out—whether you’re an experienced angler or trying sea fishing for the first time.

We run a variety of trips aboard Typhoon, from short half-day mackerel trips that are ideal for families, right up to full-day and offshore wreck or reef trips for those looking to hook into something bigger. Depending on the season and weather, you could be catching pollack, cod, bass, ling, conger eel, mackerel, or even shark—and every trip is a chance to see what’s biting in our local waters.

Looe’s coastline is stunning, and while you’re fishing, you’ll have views of the Cornish cliffs, the Eddystone Lighthouse, and maybe even a few dolphins or seals joining us along the way. It’s not just about the fishing—it’s about spending time on the water, enjoying the sea air, and seeing Cornwall from a different angle.

Typhoon is a fast and comfortable 11-passenger vessel, purpose-built for both angling and commercial fishing. She’s well equipped with modern electronics, plenty of deck space, seating, and even a small cabin with bunks for those long trips. Safety is always a priority—Typhoon meets all MCA regulations and carries full safety equipment on board.

We fish responsibly and in line with local guidelines. Some species are catch-and-release to help protect stocks, and I always encourage sustainable fishing so that these waters stay healthy for generations to come.

If you’d like to come aboard Typhoon for a day at sea, you can book directly with me. All the gear and tackle are provided, along with friendly advice and plenty of local know-how. Whether it’s your first trip or your fiftieth, I’ll do everything I can to make sure you have a safe, enjoyable and memorable day fishing off Looe.
